These investments were presented by the Chairman of the Board of TETE Albania & Mining sh.a., Eng. Bertan H. Berkpinar, and the staff of engineers attending him .
TETE Albania & Mining sh.a. is one of the most prestigious investment companies for 20 years in the mining sector, concerning research of copper and zinc in Albania, and such an investment in the mine and factory of Spaç is intended for the production of copper concentrate for export.
The Spaç mine has also a historical specific, as it was a mine built close to the Spaç prison during the communist dictatorship. There the political prisoners of that period were forced to work in the Spaç mine under inhumane conditions.
It was impressive for the group of visitors to see at site how the Spaç mine was transformed to a modernized mine with modern working conditions, as compared to a hard working conditions of mining during the communist dictatorship.
