The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe UNECE organized the meeting “On carbon neutralization in intensive industries” with the aim of reducing carbon in energy-intensive industries which are one of the main emitters of greenhouse gases, about 25% of total CO2 emissions globally. The Vice-Chair of the UNECE Energy Efficiency Working Group is the Executive Director of the National Agency of Natural Resources, Mr. Adrian Bylyku, who was present at this meeting.

The objective of this meeting is to know the situation of selected industries with high energy intensity in the UNECE region, exchange of experience in efficient technology options to reduce carbon intensity as well as identification of successful business models and cooperation activities in the entire UNECE region.
