Between January and September 2024, the National Agency of Natural Resources (NANR) examined 373 applications for the evaluation of supporting information and the approval of annual work plans for holders of mining licenses.
The commission, composed of engineers and experts of NANR, reviews the content of the annual work plan for the groups of construction minerals, metals, non-metals, coal, and bitumen.
The process of approving the annual work plans is carried out within the legal deadlines where the secretary of the commission, in coordination with the Department of Statistical Procedures, Financial Guarantees, Coordination and GIS, notifies the mining subjects who will be present to present the documentation deposited in the NANR, at least 3 days before the meeting.
The mining entity is represented by the company administrator or a person authorized by him, as well as in any case by the technical manager who makes the presentation and explanation of the annual work plan and the relevant graphic material.
If there are too many applications, the commission meets outside of the scheduled queue. In this case, the meeting is called by the Chairman of the Commission or his Vice-Chairman and the secretary takes measures to notify the members and subjects.
The Secretary of the Commission must respond within 30 days of the date of filing in the protocol office of AKBN and the mining entity is informed about whether or not the annual plan for mining activity has been approved.
