In Rome, Italy was held the kick-off meeting of the project “BLUE DEAL” in the framework of “INTEREG MED PROGRAM 2014-2020”. The BLUE DEAL project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and aims to promote renewable energy sources in seaports for environmental protection using clean energy (Blue Energy-EU). In this context, the project also aims to promote activities, create links and synergies between public institutions, civil society, small and medium enterprises to form international and regional “BLUE DEAL” partnerships.
“BLUE DEAL” integrates 13 partners from 7 countries and 9 different Mediterranean regions, including Albania represented by the National Agency of Natural Resources.
AKBN at this meeting presented the possibilities of using renewable energies in Albanian seaports.
