Following the improvement of technological processes with a special attention to the environmental components and alternative raw materials, the representatives of the company “Antea Cement” invited the Executive Director Adrian Bylyku and a group of experts of the National Agency of Natural Resources to promote a new system, which serves for the processing of solid and liquid hydrocarbon waste, aiming at reducing environmental pollution and increasing the range of materials used in production.
This serious investment in the field of mining industry is being successfully implemented by the company “Antea Cement” jsc, a company which is licensed for three plants, two for limestone and one for clay. Both of these minerals serve as raw material for the production of cement, in this case the “Titan” brand. For the production of cement, a cement factory has been built in Burizana, a factory that has been operating successfully for over three years in the Albanian and regional market.
The experts of the company presented the technology implemented through this investment, which consists of:
. Safe transport of soil or polluted water from the place where the pollution was caused to the relevant division in the factory, with hermetically sealed containers eliminating this way the pollution during transport.
. Unloading the containers and emptying them in the respective deposits of the new division in a mechanized manner.
. Preparation and control of the polluted mass to be prepared for pumping.
Soils and water polluted with hydrocarbons (kerosene oil, lubricating oils, used oils, etc.) are very problematic not only in areas where oil extraction sites are located and around them, but also in other industrial areas where lubricant pollution is always an option. After these four steps, the pollution is eliminated and no waste is generated during the process. The cycle of passing the polluted material in the furnace lasts about 45 minutes and this extension in time provides security in the elimination of the polluted mass.
AKBN’s Executive Director, Mr. Bylyku highly appreciated the technology applied by this investor in order to have a better perspective for solving the problem of pollution in the oil field areas, especially in the south of the country (Fier, Kuçova, Vlora, etc.), as well as in other industrial areas everywhere in our country.
