The National Agency of Natural Resources (AKBN) has participated in the National Meeting on Renewable Energy Production and Consumption, organized by the Energy and Climate Movement.

Through its National Energy Strategy 2018-2030, Albania aims to increase the exploitation of renewable energy to 42% by 2030 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, demonstrating the country’s commitment to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.

Key topics of discussion included the expansion of solar and wind energy capacities, which require comprehensive studies of potential development sites to ensure the protection of nature and biodiversity.
